{After a very trying week, this sister love was exactly what I needed. Seriously, is there anything cuter?}

{Lots of new products hit the Shop in the past few weeks, including cards and mini flags. I feel so behind, but better late than never I guess! And working to get out Christmas flags and cards out soon.}

{Saturday morning we had a PEPS play date, and this was the first time Daphne could really play with the big kids. She just started pulling up on the play kitchen (we have this same one) and she is so excited!}

{In case you missed it on my Instagram and Facebook, Eloise the ballerina. She has ballet classes starting next month, so I got her tights and shoes which she, of course, had to try on. I am SO excited to see her as a ballerina!}

It’s been a crazy and trying week (I may delve into details at a later time, but for now, I am moving on!) but we had a pretty good weekend with these sweet girls of ours. We saw lots of friends and celebrated Friendsgiving! How was your weekend?

{Some music time with the girls! Eloise is always (always) singing and Daphne loves rattles and the maracas we brought back from Mexico.}

{Since we got snow (yes, SNOW!) starting on Friday, I was pulling out all of our warm, winter clothes, including this “snowsuit” that my mom bought when I was pregnant in case it was really cold when the baby was born. Needless to say, it was HUGE because it fits Daphne right now. But, she wasn’t thrilled about it…}

{Sadie is living her best life. She thinks the highchair is magic because when the baby is in it, food just appears on the floor!}

{We had family game night on Saturday but realized we don’t have any toddler-friendly games (hello, Christmas ideas!) so we played Legos instead. And Daphne is blurry because she is always moving. Always.}

{World’s Best Papa right here. Eloise has been into taking her babies to the doctor (for hilarious “injuries”) and Aaron played the doctor this morning.}

{This morning I hit up Trader Joe’s without the kids and before the crowds and it felt like a vacation. Almost. And there were so many impulse buys guys, like truffle butter!}

Just as we woke up Friday to snow (yep, it’s super early this year!), colds set in for Daphne and me. So we spent all day Friday and this weekend pretty much laying low and hanging out at the house. We didn’t have anything planned, so it worked out pretty well. Aaron got some raking and yard clean-up done between the storms and I took a 2 hour nap on Saturday! Plus, we finished Season 2 of Stranger Things after binge-watching it on and off this week.

It definitely feels like fall now that the weather has changed (it actually feels like winter) and that we have set the clocks back. Luckily though, we made out pretty well with the time change and Eloise slept until her normal wake-up time of 8 AM since she was up SO late last night reading before bed, and Daphne was up slightly before her normal wake-up time and Aaron snuggled with her for a bit so I could sleep until 7:30 this morning. Not too shabby. Especially since I know that a lot of those mama friends out there with little ones were probably up at the crack of dawn!

Feeling much better today and hoping to be back to normal to start this week! How was your weekend?

{It was SO nice and sunny on Friday afternoon that we had to take a walk after lunch. Eloise and I wore our new shoes, both from the Cat and Jack for Target line: hers and mine. Eloise’s are the most beautiful shade of purple which, of course, she LOVES!}

{I got the girls’ costumes done just in time! A donut and a cupcake. Hopefully we will get some cute photos of them in costume in the next couple of days.}

{And this is Daphne’s newest trick. She wants to be on those feet so badly! Soon enough kiddo.}

{We carved pumpkins on Friday night and Eloise was pretty excited about it. I always forget though how un-kid-friendly carving pumpkins is… she was okay with it when she got her kitty pumpkin! Also, it looks really unsafe with Daphne on the counter, but we only did this for the photo and I promise I am hiding behind her and have my hand on her back!}

{We celebrated our little friend Emerson’s first birthday on Saturday morning, and this was Eloise’s party outfit. Quite the fashionista. And she very much enjoyed the cake!}

{This is Daphne’s other favorite thing to do. She kneels at that shelf and throws everything on the floor.}

{I had to steal this picture from Jess’s Instagram of the two littles. The Andersons came over on Saturday evening for dinner and it was fun to see Daphne and Austin together. Just 6 weeks apart!}

{Starting the process of finding a pre-k program for Eloise. Seriously, there are so many decisions to make! A spreadsheet is necessary. I wish she could stay at her current school until she starts Kindergarten, but it only goes until 4s and doesn’t include pre-k.}

{We headed to a Halloween party this evening and Eloise was excited to finally wear her costume (I just finished the headpiece today!). I didn’t consider how cumbersome this costume would be and she took it off within about 5 minutes of our arrival. Hopefully it will last thru trick-or-treating a bit longer!}

{And Daphne had a good time playing! Her costume was pretty easy for her to move in still and gave her some padding when she was on her belly!}

This weekend was SO beautiful! It was perfect fall weather: foggy and cold mornings followed by sunny afternoons in the low 60s. I wish it would stay like this for the rest of fall (and into winter)!

We had a fun weekend filled with parties and friends which was a nice way to spend the last weekend of October (what?!). We are gearing up for Halloween over her and Eloise is pretty excited for the Halloween parade (mostly for the drum line of the marching band though she will be disappointed when the entire marching band doesn’t show up) and also getting to have THREE pieces of candy! We talked to her about the candy she would get at Halloween and she agreed on three pieces and we would give the rest of the candy to other kids who didn’t have any candy… she is the sweetest kid!

{I made Daphne some blueberry yogurt on Friday morning (roasted blueberry puree and plain Greek yogurt) and very quickly regretted it. She LOVED it but it was so, so messy. She’s super into wanting to help feed herself with a spoon which just turns into her grabbing the spoon full of food and smearing it all over… it’s super fun.}

{We had a play date on Saturday that called for costumes, so we tried on some old ones since I definitely have not finished even started the girls’ Halloween costumes yet. This lady bug was Eloise’s first costume!}

{Eloise cracks me up! She wasn’t sleeping yet, but apparently was relaxing in bed.}

{I packed up some orders to deliver locally and it got me much more in the Halloween/fall spirit! If you want a flag, it’s not too late!}

{The official Halloween parade sign went up in our neighborhood. This is the best! If you are local and want/need a place to celebrate Halloween this year, come on over!}

{The aforementioned costume play date. 12 kids and 6 mamas in 3 years. This is Eloise and my PEPS group and some of our very best friends! Seeing these littles and their little siblings is so, so fun!}

{Aaron went to work Saturday afternoon getting our Halloween costumes ready for Ben and Sarah’s annual party. Any guesses?}

{We had the sitter come at 6 pm – yeah, a sitter, wahoo! – so we headed for a quick dinner before the party started.}

{Where’s Waldo (and Wenda)? Not the best picture (the other ones were worse, ha!) but still a really fun night. Our priorities for costumes are easy and warm. Plus, Aaron is the perfect Waldo.}

{She has been asking all week and we finally went out to get pumpkins this morning. We didn’t make it out to a big pumpkin patch since they are all a pretty good trek from our house (maybe next year?) but our grocery store had a great selection and the pumpkin guy even gave Eloise a free one! So NINE pumpkins later, we are all set!}

{Hot cheese sammies and tomato soup for lunch. And I look up and Eloise says “Do I have any soup on my face Mama?” Um, yes child, yes you do.}

{Since Daphne was up from her afternoon nap a little early today she got to accompany me to Trader Joe’s to pick up a few things (like all of the pumpkin things). And she LOVES being in the cart. Way more fun than her car seat since she can see everything!}

We had a bit of a cold and rainy weekend (especially in contrast to the heat wave we experienced in Mexico!) but it was a great fall weekend. We got to see lots of friends this weekend and even got a date night, so all in all a good one!

I am in complete disbelief that Halloween is next week and that we are already approaching the end of October. To do this week is to make the girls’ Halloween costumes. Wish me luck!

I feel like all I did was pack this weekend and organize things for the trip. And I am really trying not to bring all the things, but geez, there is so. much. stuff. I did sneak out for my Sunday afternoon Pure Barre class though and gave myself a pedicure. So there was that. (And I have a mani tomorrow while E is in school and on Mondays the nail salon has babysitters. For free! Yup, so excited about that.)

{Our plans for Friday evening changed at sort of the last minute, but we had a three different invites for things (apparently it was a very popular date). We headed over to Colin and Sara’s house to celebrate Colin’s probationary period being done and him becoming a full-time firefighter. Congrats!}

{And then on the way home we stopped by Sami’s surprise birthday party. And here is Aaron showing off his Super Papa skills and holding two kiddos at once; one toddler and one milk-drunk newborn.}

{On Saturday I headed to a mid-day Pure Barre Empower class (like Pure Barre but way more intense, more cardio, more planks, more push-ups and more weights) and left Aaron to feed the girls lunch. This is a picture of Eloise after sticking a piece of elbow macaroni in Daphne’s ear… oh boy! Obviously she was delighted. I laughed when Aaron told me, but we had to sternly tell her that noodles do not go in Sis’s ear!}

{Eloise would NOT nap on Saturday afternoon but we really needed her to since we were going out later that evening, so Aaron took one for the team and went down to lay with her. Next thing I knew they were both asleep!}

{We hit up Frelard Pizza Company with our new neighbors (4 adults and 5 kids!) and it was so fun! Good food, good company, and 90s music all night long.}

{Our neighbor Cat was reading to all the girls and they were giggling so much (it’s a super silly book). It was so sweet!}

{Aaron and Eloise spent the afternoon getting some new plants in the ground.}

{A post-barre trip to TJ’s. I always forget how crazy that place is on Sunday evening, but I didn’t have either of the girls, so it was like a mini-vacay!}

This weekend we had lots of social stuff on the calendar for the evenings and it was so nice to see friends and catch up! We had two late nights (Friday and Saturday) but the girls did pretty good (we did have one toddler who didn’t want to leave a birthday celebration) considering they were out way past bedtime. And, for some crazy reason I scheduled TWO Pure Barre classes this weekend! I am going to be so sore tomorrow…

We had a great weekend, but I am in complete disbelief that it is October…

{As you may have seen on my Instagram Stories, Daphne and I were playing peek-a-boo. It was so sweet!}

{I gave Daphne a teething biscuit on Saturday morning thinking it would be a clean(ish) thing to eat. Not so much. Moral of the story: Daphne can make a mess of any type of food.}

{Saturday morning we headed to Mount Baker playground to celebrate our little friend Seraphina’s birthday party. Eloise enjoyed the playground and the donuts!}

{We headed out to dinner on Saturday evening. This is the face Eloise makes if you say “cheese!”}

{Now that it is officially fall and the weather has cooled down, the A/C unit got to come out! As nice as it is to have in the heat, it is so nice to have it out of the living room! And yes, we store it in the shopping cart box!}

{“Huh Mama?” Eloise was out with Aaron this morning while he was mowing the lawn but really needed to bring in an armful of rocks.}

Oh my goodness guys, it sounds so cliche but I am so ready for fall. The weather this week has been perfect. Seriously. A little bit of rain, clouds, cooler weather, and breaks of sun. I could live in this weather all year long!

We had a crazy week and Aaron worked a ton, so we made almost no plans for this weekend. It was perfect. I am denial that it is the end of September, but also so happy it is fall!

{All afternoon on Friday Eloise waited for Mimi and Paga to come… it was so sweet!}

{Eloise finally (FINALLY) agreed to a haircut if Mimi came and held her hand. She wasn’t sure at all though and ended up sitting on my lap. Once we got started though, she was great and even let the stylist braid her hair!}

{Since Eloise did such a great job with her haircut, we celebrated with Molly Moon’s. She insisted on a cone and I worried it would fall the entire time she ate it!}

{Last week our neighbor’s super tall tree (like 100 feet!) split from the heat and part of it fell. So, they started taking it down. We watched all last weekend and most of Saturday afternoon. It was amazing!}

{Aaron and I slipped out for a date night this evening and enjoyed a kid-free trip to U Village! First course was ramen, second course was a fried chicken sammie, and dessert at Molly Moon’s. I definitely regretted wearing my super skinny jeans tonight because my belly was so full!}

Mimi and Paga (my parents) were in town this weekend, so it was pretty much a great time seeing as they are two of Eloise’s favorite (favorite, favorite) people. The weather also feels like FALL! I am not ready for the rain yet, but ready for the cool, crisp weather.

{This girl. She let me put her hair in a ballerina bun. And then she twirled around the house all day. Magical.}

{Eloise went to the neighbor’s house after nap time on Friday so Daphne and I headed to Trader Joe’s. Guys, shopping with only one kid is like a vacation. And Daphne got to sit in the cart for the first time, like a big kid. She loved it. Can you tell?}

{We introduced Baby D to a sippy cup. She’s not so sure and makes a hilarious face when she realizes it’s water in the cup and not milk.}

{On Saturday morning we headed to a PEPS playdate which is always so fun! Eloise has been into puzzles lately so she was excited to see some.}

{Tuned into the Boise State game and while they played a good game against Wazzu, it just didn’t work out. Darn 4th quarter! And triple OT. Crazy.}

{Buh-bye old dishwasher! Aaron hauled it away to the transit center for disposal this morning since apparently no one wants a free old dishwasher… haha! And thanks to the Sweeneys for letting us borrow their truck!}

{Daphne is discovering finger foods. She puts every single thing in her mouth. Except for pieces of food. If Aaron or I hold the food for her, she will eat it, but won’t do it herself.}

{We ventured up to the Andersons’ house for the Seahawks game this afternoon. Great company, terrible game. The kids had so much fun, especially Jaz and Eloise.}

We had a fun weekend packed full of social events. It was great to see old friends and catch up!

And the weather was a-m-a-z-i-n-g today. Seriously perfect. The smoke has cleared out, the temperature was a few degrees cooler, and the sun was out.
