aaron had a busy week at work so low—key was in order. we had a relaxing weekend just laying low at the house & getting some work done – mostly still trying to organize everything that doesn’t have a permanent home yet. the progress feels good & we are making progress!! I am having trouble believing that it is already a week into november, though the weather certainly feels like fall. I am sort of loving the vest & boot weather & am excited to see that we won’t be so soggy in the coming week. how was your weekend?

what a fun weekend! we had such a great time celebrating eloise’s first halloween & to see her all dressed up! we laid pretty low for the rest of the weekend, focusing on getting some things done around the house. plus, with the time change, it is now so, so dark so early. boo. it feels like nighttime all day. & speaking of time change, eloise didn’t get the memo… oh well. how was your weekend?

this weekend was a blur! we had crazy fall weather – stormy, windy, sunny – which really made it feel like october. saturday was ben & sarah’s big halloween party & eloise was such a hit! she was the cutest little sack of money & just slept & slept with those little ear buds on. we are gearing up for a busy week which will end with eloise’s first halloween – so excited! how was your weekend?

we had a low-key weekend spent mostly at home just hanging out & getting a few things done here & there. with most of our weekends packed full, it was nice to just lay low. despite some rainy weather making an appearance recently, we had beautiful & sunny fall weather! how was your weekend?

{baby tahlia had her first birthday party on saturday. her parents borrowed from the korean tradition & had her choose an object to represent her future. after a number of melt-downs, she chose the stethoscope (doctor)!}

{we had dinner with our friends jes & cale, & eloise & jazmyne finally met!}

{we signed up for smith brothers farms delivery to ensure that we always have (almond) milk & eggs at the house!}

{we spent a rainy sunday unpacking the office which was full of boxes… not the most fun day but feels really good to get things organized!}

{eloise has the best hair. plus she has this great cowlick, or giddy giddy as my hawaiian friends would refer to it.}

what a quick weekend – I blinked & it was over! we had a few social gatherings planned & it was great to catch up with some friends. we also got some things organized around the house – we are making progress! this is the first weekend that really felt like fall – the temps have cooled down & the rainy season is starting.

{went to my first post-partem pure barre class this morning. oh boy! I will definitely be sore after 8 weeks off, but it felt so great to be back at it. hard to believe the last time I was there I was 39 weeks pregnant.}

I don’t know which is harder to believe – that it is already october or the awesome summer weather we have had this weekend! this weekend, per usual, went quickly & we spent most of the time at the house trying to get thru the piles & piles of things that have accumulated from moving back into the house post-remodel. I have a feeling this is what we will be doing for months… on a happier note, I did get in a 2+ hour nap today – thanks to aaron & eloise for letting me sleep that long! how was your weekend?

we had a pretty relaxing weekend – watching a lot of football & hanging out with my mom & uncle who were in town for a visit. aaron & I also got to have a fun date night tonight – without baby – dinner & ice cream. it was perfect! we did miss our little one though but knew she was in such good hands. we enjoyed some nice sunny weather, but there has been crisp cool air for the past few days which tells me our summer weather is short lived & on the way out – hello fall!

{saturday night was a backyard movie night at our friend sara’s house. first show of the evening was the incredibles. we didn’t make it thru much of the second show.}

{I made my first solo trip out of the house without eloise to joann & target. it is so much faster to run errands without a babe, but I missed her terribly! thanks aaron for holding down the fort while I was out!}

{I busted out my sewing machine to get a quick project done, but lost the power cord to the machine. once aaron found it for me – thanks! – eloise was fussing, friends came over to say hi, & then it was bedtime. someday I will finish this project.}

this weekend went by so quickly & so slowly at the same time. I guess that is the way life feels with a newborn around. I can’t even specifically recall what we did yesterday, but we stuck around the house to get things in order & try to knock some things off of our ever-growing to do list. we had a bout of hot summer-y weather this weekend which is likely the last for the season, but it was nice to have such beautiful sunny skies the past couple of days. that said, I am totally ready for fall weather. how was your weekend?

{I panicked on friday afternoon when I looked on the back porch & saw all of these boxes since I thought maybe I was online shopping in my sleep! turns out most of them were for eloise… feeling blessed by everyone’s generosity!}

{we got out of the house on saturday afternoon to enjoy the great summer weather & good company. such a fun BBQ!}

holy cow this weekend went quickly! but really, the only reason I even know it’s the weekend is because aaron is home during the day… oh well! we had a gorgeous stretch of sunny, hot summer weather this weekend which looks like it will last thru at least the beginning of the week. hard to complain about a beautiful indian summer in the pnw! we got a lot of work done around the house this weekend, moving things around to where they really ought to be rather than in random places throughout the house. or at least close to where they should live! I am hoping to get some final house updates to share – soon I hope!

[eloise was rooting on our huskies in their home opener against eastern washington. they barely squeaked out a win.}

{lots of college football was watched on saturday.}

{like father, like daughter. naptime at the lower house.}

{this was my view almost all day on saturday. between all of the feeding sessions, eloise preferred to take naps on mama. did I mention it was over 90 degrees?}

{thank you, thank you to our wonderful friends & neighbors who have brought over dinner & other goodies these past few weeks!}

{eloise tried out her whale bathtub which she actually enjoyed {over her normal sponge bath}.}

{we attempted to clip eloise’s fingernails during a nap since she has been clawing at her face so much. we got three nails in before we abandoned the mission. the nail file is here to stay…}

{be still my heart – seeing aaron & eloise melts my heart! plus, a little factoid that eloise is three of aaron’s hands in length!}

{our first family trip to target was a success. thank goodness aaron was with me or else I wouldn’t have been able to buy anything – we need someone to push the cart & someone to push the stroller! some day I will figure it out.}

{we were rooting for the colts this evening, but alas peyton & the broncos were too good.}

we had another warm streak of summer weather sweep thru the pnw which made the upstairs almost unbearably warm – thank goodness for some good fans! we mostly hung out at the house & got very little done other than lots of feedings, naps, & watching of football games. eloise turned 4 weeks today which is so hard to believe – updates to come later in the week! some things are becoming more routine, but everything still feels a bit chaotic around the house. I guess that is life with a newborn, right? how was your weekend?
