{seriously? can she get any cuter?}

{we spent a lot of time at children’s hospital on saturday afternoon for a car seat check – we are transitioning into a convertible car seat soon – & eloise learned about the front seat. in other news, we also introduced almond butter (with banana) while we waited since it was lunchtime & we were at the hospital in case there were any serious issues with nut allergies (luckily there weren’t!).}

{another fun addition that has been a long time coming to the house – window treatments for our master bedroom window! I am hoping to include this in a house tour soon.}

we had a super low-key weekend with almost no plans (that seems to be the theme recently) & it was wonderful. we got a lot of things done around the house which is my favorite. it is definitely feeling like spring in the PNW with the rainy days & bulbs in bloom, but I am still in complete disbelief that it is the end of march… really, the entire first quarter of 2015 gone just like that! how was your weekend?

{aaron adjusted the foot platform lower since eloise has grown. she looks so big in her chair now!}

we had a pretty low-key weekend with not a lot of plans. it was lovely. the weather wasn’t really lovely though – here comes the spring rain! how was your weekend?

{eloise & I headed over the u village to pick up a few things & had to step into the Land of Nod. I noticed they had these old Childcraft encyclopedias being used in the staging – so weird to see these since we had them when I was a kid!}

{who could resist this happy little bug fresh off a long nap? seriously, 90% of the time she is all smiles when I go in to get her after nap time!}

{on friday night we had friends over for dinner – which they brought! – & then played some games after eloise went to bed. such a fun night! thanks for dinner dave & kurt!}

{we headed back to the u village on saturday afternoon – yep, we basically live there since it’s right down the street! – for lunch & to pick up a few other things. we ate “american” with a burger & salad – so yummy!}

{I finally tried coconut milk in my latte after aaron convinced me it was amazing. I was skeptical, but it was so good!}

{our friends made an impromptu visit for dinner & some catch-up on saturday evening. eloise & lily are going to be besties when they grow up. plus, they are just one month apart! great to see you steiner family!}

{we also tried roasted blueberries this afternoon. I think they were a success! (& so, so messy!)}

{eloise was still napping when I got home from pure barre this afternoon. I pretty much can’t resist staring at her when she sleeps… creepy? perhaps.}

we had a really low-key weekend with no real plans. even though we didn’t get much done, it was nice to just hang out & enjoy each other’s company. plus, we got lots of rain the past few days so it was nice to be in & dry! how was your weekend?

{eloise & I met the sadliers at the zoo on friday morning. just as we were leaving, the littlest ones fell asleep!)

{eloise tried roasted red pepper strips on friday evening & enjoyed them!}

{aaron brought home cupcakes from work. my throat hurt, so we blended them into milkshakes. delicious!}

{we went to a crazy appliance sale on saturday afternoon. we were mostly there to price out new future kitchen appliances. saving our pennies!}

{we ended up with a new microwave which is beyond exciting. (you know you are a grown-up when this makes you excited, right?) if you ever had to use our old microwave you will know how exciting this actually is!}

{the absolutely beautiful weather got us out of the house this afternoon for some sun & fresh air. we ventured over to one of the near-by playgrounds & eloise had her maiden voyage in a swing. she loved it!}

{a friend from law school & I always joked that if you had a chest freezer you had made it in life. well, we got a chest freezer & we are so excited. not just because we’ve made it in life, but because we desperately need the extra freezer space!}

eloise & I both caught a cold, so we spent a lot of the weekend trying to feel better (& there wasn’t a lot to take pictures of…). actually, eloise didn’t act like she felt bad at all, but does have a cough & drippy nose. we tried to lay low but also enjoy the most beautiful weekend – sunny & 60s! the transition for daylight saving time was a little brutal since eloise decided to spring forward not one but two hours! hoping to get a bit more sleep this week. how was your weekend?

{I made lactation cookies since I have been consuming large amounts of cookies lately & figured I should make it productive. these were really effective so if you make them, expect the results about 5 hours after consumption… & make sure that doesn’t fall in the middle of the night like I did!}

{my mom watched Eloise this evening so Aaron & I could have a date night. we did dinner (burgers) & a movie (Kingsmen – not recommended!). thanks mom!}

what a fun weekend – the sun was out & Grammie is in town! with not a lot of plans, it was nice to just hang out & enjoy each other’s company. a nice mellow weekend was exactly what we needed. how was your weekend?

{eloise is always so excited to see her papa when he gets home from work. fridays are fun because then we get to see him for the entire weekend!}

{eloise tried gnawing on apple slice & loved it! we love that it looks like she is wearing suspenders when she is in her highchair – makes me want to find her a pair!}

{ahh! SO excited about how this project is coming along. I cannot wait to share once it’s done!}

{eloise has been fussy about an hour into her afternoon naps. guess who is right at her door?}

{no matter how many beds or crates we have, sadie ends up on the couch at night. sunday morning I woke up to find her like this. I think she was enjoying herself!}

{since starting solids, eloise seems to have a little constipation. we are attempting to remedy with some pear & prune puree!}

{feedings are getting a little less messy. while a sponge bath is still required after eating, I am hopeful we will someday soon get to the point where eloise can eat in more than just a bib & diaper.}

{eloise is more & more interested in sadie these days, & loved the chance to have some cuddles.}

{despite looking really nervous in this picture, eloise had a great time at dinner on sunday evening. we were out celebrating a friend’s birthday & there were lots of friends to catch up with, including her BFF Lily who is just a month older!}

what a beautiful & sunny weekend we had here in the PNW! we have been so spoiled with teasers about what spring is going to be like that I am dreading when the grey & rain will return… we had a pretty low-key weekend just hanging out at home for the most part which is always pleasant & much-needed. how was your weekend?

{we had the most gorgeous weather this weekend & I drove around with the sunroof open!}

{coming thru downtown on friday we got to see the space needle. & I have to take a picture of the needle whenever I see it.}

{I decided it would be fun to make a birthday cake. I normally don’t like chocolate cake, but something about my post-partem tastebuds can’t get enough chocolate! I used this recipe & it was delicious! see my first cake here.}

{we decided to go out last minute for valentine’s day/birthday dinner &, surprise!, every place was full. we ended up at veggie grill.}

{this little bug can finally sit in a highchair! it makes dining out much more enjoyable since both aaron & I can actually eat our meals. we are using this highchair/shopping cart cover & love it!}

we had a really fun weekend celebrating valentine’s day & my thirtieth! there were lots of friends to catch up with & sunny, warm weather. it was perfect! how was your weekend?

{aaron was under the weather this weekend & it was rainy, so perfect movie weather! (puns intended!) we picked nonstop. I missed a lot of it since eloise doesn’t sit thru movies these days, but I don’t think it mattered too much.}

this weekend we laid low & hung around the house since aaron was feeling under the weather. it was sort of awesome & very much needed. gearing up for a busy, busy week that ends with me turning 30! {what?!}

also, this weekend our 15 month old niece Charlotte was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer. we would ask for any thoughts, prayers, and good vibes as she starts treatment this week & has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. stay strong Charlotte!

we had a fun weekend full of sun & football, but boy it flew by! tomorrow aaron heads back to work after being home on paternity leave for the entire month – we were so spoiled with him home! how was your weekend?

my mama {grammie} was in town this weekend so there were lots of cuddles, hugs, & giggles. we didn’t have too much planned & the weather didn’t cooperate for the first part of the weekend, but we had the most beautiful weather today! it felt like spring – sunny & low 60s! how was your weekend?
