IMG_4925

{as we approached seattle, we opened the airplane window to discover the most beautiful view of mount rainer!}

we had a whirlwind trip to indiana to see aaron’s family & attend colt & erin’s nuptials this past week. it was so great to see so much family & get to spend some quality time with our niece & nephews {though it is so tough to not see them more often!}. the weather was beautiful & we both enjoyed a stretch of sunny weather with very little humidity {yay!} – looking forward to the summer weather that will hopefully descend upon the emerald city in the coming months. thanks to everyone who made time to hang out with us while we were in town – hope to do it again sometime very soon!

how was your weekend?

IMG_4851

IMG_4852

{we got the sweetest package for baby lower from an old college friend.}

IMG_4853

{celebrated a birthday dinner at steelhead diner at pike place market. the food was delish!}

IMG_4855

{we stayed at the w hotel this weekend & it was so nice of them to remind us what time of day it was.}

IMG_4856

{this sign at pike place market for the restrooms is hilarious – they are all over! I guess this is a sneak peak into what life will be like next year.}

IMG_4859

{two of my favorite things: peonies & the bump!}

IMG_4860

{I finally got started on a craft project for baby lower’s nursery at crafternoon with amanda.}

we had such an enjoyable long weekend vacationing in downtown seattle. we puttered around the shopping area downtown, took a few trips to the market, dined in bell town, caught up on grey’s anatomy, & enjoyed not having any plans whatsoever. sadie stayed with our good friends jes & cale – thanks you two! – so we knew we could relax without worrying about her. I can’t believe that we are already post-memorial day! that means aaron is one year older & summer {& baby lower} is right around the corner!

IMG_4842

{I don’t think she is happy at all… it was so great to see sadie after being gone all weekend!}

I took a quick trip to boise for the long weekend to see family & friends. it was great to be home for a bit! of course I got to see my parents, but also got to catch up with old girlfriends when we got together to celebrate a mama-to-be {again!} in the best possible way – pampering with pedis & a great meal. it was wonderful to see all of the ladies {though we were short a few} & I am so fortunate to have them in my lives {dating back from middle school!}. I feel like I had a refreshing mini-vacation to jump start another week!

IMG_4834

{we had a sunny sunday & sadie enjoyed catching up on some open car window time.}

IMG_4820

{my first unofficial mother’s day card from honest company!}

we enjoyed a fun {but quick!} weekend in the emerald city. it was a bit rainy to begin with, but we are starting into a much-needed warm weather streak. I can’t wait! we celebrated our first mother’s day which seemed a bit strange to be honest. I guess it is hard to imagine I will be part of such an amazing group of women in just a few months! the sun was shining today & I didn’t have to cook or do any dishes, so it seemed like a good celebration!

happy mother’s day to my mom, mother-in-law, sister, sisters-in-law, friends, & all of you mothers out there!

IMG_4804

{what a long, grey, & rainy weekend.}

IMG_4805

{the new game of thrones – we finally caught up!}

this weekend flew by & seemed to just be a blur except for the beautiful sunny weather went away & the rain clouds stormed in. seriously, we had rain, rain, rain all day long for two days. even for seattleites it was too much!

how was your weekend?

M

p.s. thank you for all of your love & support from my last post about my grandmother.

IMG_4774

{we had a double date night to see divergent. pretty good, but really different than the book. isn’t that always the case?}

IMG_4775

{needed to pick up & scope out some stuff for the house, & decided it was finally time to join Ikea Family!}

we had a great weekend that was a good mix of getting things marked off of the to-do list & spending time together – the best kind of weekend, right? saturday it was pouring, pouring rain while I was trying to run errands which was miserable, but today’s Easter weather was sunny & pretty warm. very excited for this burst of spring weather! how was your weekend?

IMG_4737

{I have always loved stripes, but can’t get enough these days!}

IMG_4738

{after work drinks while we wait for some thai to go!}

IMG_4740

{we ventured into sadie’s favorite store this weekend & she convinced us that she needed some treats.}

IMG_4742

{went to see divergent with friends on a double date but the show was sold out. whomp whomp. so we watched the hunger games – catching fire instead.}

IMG_4743

{brunch at the pomegranate bistro with amanda, george, & madeleine!}

IMG_4748

{finally got the car washed! love the ones you can drive thru!}

this weekend felt productive & it was great spending time with aaron as he was gone most of this week on a business trip. we have moved east to redmond during the pending house work which I promise to share more about this week – big things are starting to happen & it’s pretty exciting! we are feeling almost settled in, but it is strange to find the pace of our routine in a new place. I think we’ll get the hang of it soon! how was your weekend?

IMG_4722

{we had torrential downpour & thunderstorms on saturday, but also a double rainbow!}

IMG_4724

{first attempt at getting the washer & dryer out of the basement. luckily our neighbor was able to come over & help aaron since I was useless.}

IMG_4727

{his& hers starbucks to kick off a sunday morning.}

IMG_4730

{& this is the state of our living room. we have to be out of the house for a bit for the start of our house renovation – details to come this week!}

IMG_4732

{dropped off aaron at the airport this morning since he needed to be in san francisco for work. I always love coming to the airport since it is where aaron proposed!}

we had a super busy weekend moving, packing, & moving {hence the complete lack of pictures…}. we are going to be breaking ground on our much-awaited & anticipated house renovation this week & we need to be out of the house for a bit. luckily we don’t have to move completely out, so we could leave most of our furniture & stuff in the house. I will be detailing a lot more about what we are up to & the entire renovation starting this week, so stay tuned. so the first half of the weekend {& the past few weeks!} have been packing & moving stuff, & the end of the weekend was filled with packing & settling in. I am practicing my nesting apparently.

{a trip to bellevue square means I get my auntie anne’s fix. I never really ate big pretzels before I was pregnant, but now whenever I see them I crave them.}

IMG_4706

{we just happened to be at nordy’s & they just happened to be running triple points. so, we shopped a bit!}

IMG_4707

{no one loves the warm sunny weather more than sadie because it means she gets to cruise around in the car with the window down.}

IMG_4708

{aaron & a few of our very nice friends loaded up this guy on saturday. just the start of some  very big things to come around here!}

IMG_4710

{found some time to relax & enjoy the second book in this trilogy.}

IMG_4711

{sadie has been such a cuddle bug lately. she always wants to be right by my side. or on my lap. whichever is more convenient for her.}

we had the most beautiful gorgeous & sunny weekend weather that really made it feel like spring is here. I know this is just a teaser & that winter-ish weather will return soon, but it was nice to break out my sunglasses &  not need quite so many layers for at least a few days. we had an awesome group of friends come over this weekend & help us pack & move a few things from around the house as we prepare for our next big project. it feels a little crazy-town around here since there are so many things going on at once these days, but we are excited about the coming months. how was your weekend?
