{In preparation for fall and the big storms predicted for the weekend, Aaron hung the storm windows.}

{And Eloise played in the dirt. She is obsessed with that bucket!}

{Aaron made me a few stands for my flags as I start getting ready for my Pop-Up Shop next weekend at West Elm Seattle. If you are in town, come by and see me between noon and 3 pm!}

{I launched a small Fall Collection and love them all. That black “trick or treat” though is probably my new favorite!}

{Somehow I ended up promising Eloise waffles for breakfast on Sunday and she did not let me forget it!}

{We headed north to visit the Andersons in their new house & to watch the Seahawks game. I had so much fun socializing and biting my nails that I didn’t take any pictures… Here’s a shot that Jess got of Cale with all the kiddos! Thanks for having us!}

We had a pretty productive weekend which feels great! Everyone was anticipating a huge, huge storm for Friday and Saturday, but we just ended up with a lot of rain and about 10 minutes of strong wind. But I am thankful since it could have been really bad. I can’t believe we are already in the middle of October with Halloween just around the corner! How is the fall already flying by?

{E and I hit up Starbucks for a special snack before my midwife appointment on Friday morning. Thankful the stores carry some snacks that aren’t loaded with sugar!}

{Once Papa got home from work, Eloise helped make pizza. It was so yummy and has become a weekly tradition.}

{On Saturday morning these two hung out so I could get some much-needed sewing done for upcoming events for the Shop – mainly West Elm. Eloise insisted on wearing her Halloween costume all day and it was delightful to see her in it. Aaron and Eloise took down the guest bed that was temporarily set-up downstairs to make room for some upcoming room transitions (Eloise is moving into our old office downstairs and Baby Foot will move into the nursery).}

{I was able to get a short photo session done for another big event coming up this fall. I will let you know the details once everything has come together!}

{While I was so, so nervous about the Husky game this week since it was against Oregon and in Eugene, it appears I had absolutely nothing to worry about! UW dominated the Ducks from the first play (an interception) and never looked back winning 70 to 21. Go Dawgs!}

{Eloise raided her school backpack & insisted on putting on her rain jacket and her hat despite not having pants on. It was really pretty cute. Sidenote: even though it looks like it, Aaron IS wearing pants!}

{Eloise gave Baby Stella a bath in her sink this morning. It was so sweet. She is going to be the best big sister you guys!}

{Trying to get work done every minute that I can for the next few weeks (well, month)! There will (hopefully) be lots & lots of flags headed out of the Shop between now and December.}

{My Sunday afternoon Barre class is my favorite. I really crave the time to myself and the feeling that I have after I’ve had a really good workout! I finally got to try the new sticky socks and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! They are slimmer, more fitted, and super sticky even on the toes which makes a huge difference! If you do barre at all, pick up a pair!}

It felt like such a fall weekend here in the PNW with blustery weather. And I sort of liked it. After feeling so hot all summer long, I am so ready for the cool. Plus, it meant I wasn’t tempted to leave the house to run unnecessary errands when there is so much to do around the house. We have been working so hard to get a few big projects done around the house and we are just wrapping up one that I cannot wait to share! There doesn’t seem like there are enough weekends left in October… seriously, can time slow down!

And, first thing tomorrow morning after we drop Eloise off at school, we get to go to our ultrasound and see Baby Foot! I will be sure to share all the details in this week’s bump post.

{On Friday night we watched our Huskies dominate Stanford. So proud!}

{I announced that I will be hosting a Pop-Up Shop at West Elm later in the month – October 22nd – and I am so excited! Thanks for all of the support so far!}

{It is officially the end of summer when the A/C comes out of the window. Hello Fall!}

{We had dinner guests this evening & made our favorite veggie Bolognese. So yummy! And thank goodness for the Cuisinart to shred all those veggies.}

We had such a beautiful sunny fall weekend which made the fact that it is October a little easier to bear. And it’s not that I don’t love October, I just am not ready for it to be so late in the year already – what happened to the spring and summer?

We got lots of things done around the house (though we still have a full to-do list!) which always feels good. And we watched lots & lots of football. How was your weekend?

{On Saturday morning we headed to T’s birthday party where there were tattoos. Eloise didn’t want one at the party, but she put a few in her gift bag to bring home. And as soon as we got home she wanted one on each hand, and she has been sporting them all weekend long!}

{I finally got some sewing done for the Shop this weekend!}

{Go Seahawks! Honestly, I missed most of the game – though I heard it from the other room – and had to head to Barre before the end of the game, but I am still happy for the win!}

{Eloise found her turkey costume in her closet this afternoon and insisted on wearing it all evening. Even on our after-dinner walk. It was the cutest! You can tell she is saying “cheese!”}

What a weekend! I didn’t get a single thing on my to-do list done, but the weather was perfectly sunny & crisp, and today was a great mama’s day: toddler-free breakfast with girlfriends, quick afternoon nap, & Pure Barre. Thanks to my awesome hubby for watching Eloise & getting things done around the house!

{We enjoyed a sunny playdate on Friday morning at Greenlake. E really likes the sandbox (or sand canoe?) lately.}

{E always wants to help with projects & watched intently while Aaron worked this weekend.}

{Saturday was so nice so we spent some much-needed time getting wiggles out in the yard. E is obsessed with dandelions since I showed her you could blow on the white ones & they would fly away. Now she is blowing on every single flower she sees!}

We had a pretty productive weekend & enjoyed the summer-like weather, though I think we are both ready for fall especially with football season in full swing! Not a lot of actual plans this weekend, but we are gearing up for a busy week with lots of relatives in town for a visit! How was your weekend?

{Golden Gardens on Friday afternoon. It was super hot but so beautiful!}

{I picked up a few pints of our favorite ice cream – Molly Moon’s – to celebrate David graduating with his MBA!}

{We hit up Serious Biscuit this morning for brunch & it was amazing, as usual. We also got to see the women’s vault final which is honestly the first Olympic coverage I have seen. Go Simone!}

{Ah, the Space Needle. We hung around Seattle Center after brunch, & David & crew went up to the observation deck while we headed home for naptime.}

{Eloise loved this little rock area at the playground this morning. When you dropped rocks into the cages, they would hit these bell plates & make music.}

{We wrapped up our dining adventures at Frelard Pizza Company for dinner. There was way too much pizza ordered, but it was really good & the play area for kids is fantastic!}

We had Aaron’s brother David & his family in town visiting this weekend & I did not take nearly enough pictures! Really, not one picture of all the kids. There were lots of city adventures to be had & lots of good times. It was so, so hot though… is it fall yet?

{We spent most of the week & Saturday morning prepping for E’s birthday. I made a special flag for her which will hopefully make an appearance every birthday!}

{The party had a watermelon theme but I forced myself to keep things simple & just enjoy the day!}

We had a busy weekend with Eloise’s birthday party on Saturday & recovering on Sunday. It was great to see so many friends & catch up (at least a little bit) with those we haven’t seen lately. Eloise already seems so much older in the past few days & I can hardly believe she will be TWO in just two days!

Sorry I have been a bit MIA from blogging and social media – I have apparently been enjoying my “summer break” unplugged. It’s sort of been awesome though. I will be back at it soon!

Grammie & Grandpa were visiting from out of town, so it was such a fun treat to have them here. We did a few touristy things like Pike Place Market & the Ballard Locks, but lots of projects & things got done around the house too – thanks!

{Eloise has been super into tea parties lately and it is the cutest thing ever!}

{We spent some time enjoying the afternoon shade & some chalk while we waited for Papa to come home on Friday.}

{After running a few errands on Saturday afternoon, we hit up Gas Works Park for a few minutes. Eloise had never seen the view of the skyline from the park, so that was a must! It was such a pretty day to watch the boats on the lake, the planes taking off & landing, & all of the people at the park.}

After the park we met Ben & Sarah for a drink at Miir in Fremont. And there was this insanely adorable puppy outside. These photos are amazing!

{We tried a new food truck for dinner on Saturday since we were all starving and it was too late to cook. An interesting name, but we will be back for the potstickers & curry!}

{Saturday ended up being really hot, so I ran out to Safeway on a popsicle run, Fudgsicles specifically. And then we watched a few episode of Bloodline. It’s a little slow but I know it’s going to get good!}

{Eloise wanted to wear the Ergo this morning with her baby doll Stella and then pretty much wanted to wear it all day long, even though it is SO big on her! I know they make Ergos for little kids & I need to find one for her. She was so sweet with her baby, rocking & patting & shushing & making sure she had her paci. It is amazing what she has learned from watching Aaron & me!}

We had a pretty low-key weekend which explains why there aren’t too many pictures to share. Gearing up for an eventful end of July!

{Started the weekend off right with the Dixie Chicks! My friend Jenna & I had a fun girls’ night out without the babies or our husbands. It was a great show & I hope it’s not another 10 years before they go on tour again.}

{We hosted a PEPS playdate on Saturday morning & the kids got along so well! Eloise gave hugs all around.}

{Eloise had some quality time at the playground before dinner on Saturday.}

{During Eloise’s nap today we finally went thru and organized our freezers – the one in our refrigerator & the chest one in our utility room.}

{After being out of town, the yard needed some work – I am in charge of the flower beds & Aaron is in charge of the grass! – so we headed out this afternoon. Eloise thoroughly enjoyed herself & helped me weed & clean up the beds. And have you ever seen such a stylish gardener?}

After being away for so long & then hitting the ground running, we needed a nice, slow weekend. There were lots of naps, laundry, & unpacking. We are gearing up for the coming week & mid-July?! And Eloise turned twenty-three months today!
