family pictures {summer 2020}
The Lower family during (summer) quarantine, 2020.
a bit of happy news!
Happy (mid to almost late) March! I know it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post. The year started off a little crazy and then just got every crazier with the Covid-19 quarantining…
And, if you missed it over on Instagram and Facebook, we have officially announced the arrival of Baby Lower who is due at the end of September!

The girls are just so excited for Christmas this year and it has been so fun celebrating the merry season with them. Kids really do make the holiday season WAY more magical!
Merry Christmas to all!

family pictures {2019}
Our family Christmas cards were sent out at the first of the month (woot!) but I also wanted to share the remainder of the photos from this year’s family photo shoot. Christmas cards and family photos are my very FAVORITE thing about the holidays. We send out many, many Christmas cards every year and receive almost as many, and it brings me SO much joy!
We had the wonderful and lovely Ashley Vos behind the camera again this year, and if you are local to Seattle, I cannot recommend her enough! The location was Volunteer Park in the Capital Hill neighborhood. It was SO cold but boy was it beautiful with all of the leaves! {Also, the girls were a little shy/grumpy/not interested when we first started, but warmed up at the end! I was a little worried about the pictures turning out, but Ashley is magic!}
And here’s a picture overload of the Lower family!

{My parents were in town and we headed down to the Museum of Flight on Monday. The big hanger with all of the big planes is the favorite of the girls.}

{A sneak peek of our fall family photoshoot – the rest will be up soon!}
I wanted to stop and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! Even though life has seemed crazy and chaotic recently, we are SO very blessed to have friends & family, a warm & comfortable home, and access to healthy food (and the list goes on).
I also wanted to share the obituaries for two women who have recently passed away, but will be very much missed by the Lower family! First is Aaron’s (paternal) grandmother Eileen Lower (whose service he attended last weekend), and second is Aaron’s step-grandmother Doris Overdorf. We are sending lots of love to all of the family & also remembering what amazing women we had the pleasure of knowing.
Happy Thanksgiving!

family pictures {2018}
Most of you are probably on our Christmas card list so you’ve seen at least a smattering of our family photos from this year. But, I ended up buying the entire gallery of photos this year since I couldn’t choose just a few, ha!, so here is a photo over-load because I also couldn’t choose which ones to share either.
We shot these at the UW Arboretum just as it was really starting to look and feel like fall, and even though it was drizzling rain, it was perfect! As we have for the past few family photoshoots, we used Ashley Vos, and I highly recommend her if you are local to Seattle!
Also, when did my girls get so grown-up?!

As many of you know, either from my recent Instagram or Facebook posts or because you have known us for a while, but this graduation has been a long time coming. For as long as we have been together (almost 11 years!) Aaron has been doing some type of schooling AND working full-time. Continue reading “Congratulations Grad!”
