daphne {last day of pre-k}

Oh, Daphne! Off to Kindergarten in the fall as she graduated from pre-K this past week.

She was at the same preschool as Eloise was for pre-K which was SUCH a good mix of play and early academics. Daph learned all of her letters and numbers (up to 20), focusing on writing and learning letter sounds. She is SO ready for Kindergarten!

This year has been A YEAR, but Daphne did so well. There were lots of changes and unpredictability because of the pandemic, but between the mask requirement, testing, and staying home because of cancelled classes, Daph was such a trooper! I really hope we can get even closer to “normal” in the coming school year.

She was with almost a completely new set of classmates (save one old preschool friend) but became close with so many new friends! This week a number of her classmates’ parents asked if we could get together this summer for play dates – it’s such a delight as a parent to see your little ones forming friendships.

And here are a few more photos from this week’s celebration!

{I mean, that little graduation cap. The cutest, right!}

{It absolutely poured rain – monsooned actually – on Daphne’s last day (Thursday) so much so that we had to move the graduation celebration from outside at the park to an inside venue. Juneuary in Seattle at it’s finest.}

{Remembered to get a family photo and this is the best one we got!}

I canNOT believe that Daphne is headed to elementary school in the fall. How on Earth? But she is really excited, nervous, but excited.

And here is Eloise’s last day of pre-K.

Happy Summer, Daph!
