{Grammie left on Friday morning, so we headed to U Village to get some wiggles out on the playground since we FINALLY had an all-clear from the terrible smoke warnings that we had all week.}
{Eloise loves to leave “Es” on the sidewalk in front of the houses of our neighbors. She’s so proud!}
{And of course Daphne had to add her own addition to the chalk art.}
{We headed to Kidchella on Saturday morning which was a music festival for kids. It was so packed with about every family with a toddler or preschooler in the area!}
{Oh Daphne girl. She was insistent on sitting on this curb while we waited.}

{And our favorite musical guy, Caspar Babypants, played at the beginning of the event and the girls were pretty cute about it. Their dancing is the sweetest.}
{A big smile for milk and cookies!}
{And face painting. And a curious little sister.}
{Her unicorn. She was so, so proud for the rest of the day.}
{And Eloise’s friend who got a matching unicorn! These girls have known each other since they were just weeks old (and born just one day apart) and it has been amazing to see their friendship blooming!}
{The girls and I ran a few errands this morning (since we had a smoke warning again, grr) and we ran into lunchtime, so Chipotle it was the winner. Gah, these girls look so big!}
{I checked in on Daphne during her naptime today and my heart melted. That little bum up in the air!}
{After picking up groceries this afternoon we took a detour to Seattle Pops to get popsicles on our way home.}

{I wanted to capture Daphne’s sweet little words and it’s too cute not to share. She does say “papa” but for some reason if you ask her to repeat it, she always says “mama!” Haha!}
It was a bit of a trying weekend which I tried to pack full to keep from losing my mind. Mostly I am kidding! But Aaron has been out of town for work for the last week and a half and it’s been, well, a lot. I know it’s not totally single parenting, but geez it’s hard to have two kids by yourself! We are at the very, very end of his time away (he gets back today!) and I will be forever grateful for my mama coming up to help with the girls. Especially because we had terrible, terrible air quality for the entirety of last week from surrounding wild fires and we weren’t able to spend any time outside…
How was your weekend?
M
Oh Daphne! Hearing you say those little words is the cutest thing I’ve heard in a while! Can’t wait to see you and your sissy! And of course Mommy and Daddy too😁
