project baby #3 {week 32}

{week 32} 54 days and counting…

We have been enjoying our last week of “freedom” around here. And by that, I mean, starting this coming weekend, we are putting a ca-bosh on basically all external, social contact. So we get to go out for doctor’s appointments and that’s it. Groceries and essentials will be delivered (we just started using Whole Foods via Amazon Prime this week) and we don’t have anything social planned. It’s going to be difficult, especially since we are all feeling a bit socially deprived after 5 months of quarantine, but with COVID cases rising in our county and basically everywhere, we need to stay healthy!

We had a few “socially distant” get-togethers this past week, which was lovely. We hosted some brand-new neighbors in our backyard. The girls and I ventured north to pick blueberries at a small farm (a summer tradition!) and they did so well keeping their masks on, though it was REALLY hot! And just last night I had a chance to sit down with a girlfriend and chat for two hours in her backyard – it was lovely.

Pregnancy-wise, I am feeling really slow this past week. I think part of it is just this stage of pregnancy and the baby being up in my ribs, but also the heat. We’ve had near 80 degrees which means our house upstairs stays pretty warm, despite the two window A/C units and fans. It’s not terrible, but means I need to be watching my hands and feet for swelling. Two days ago we lost power for nearly two hours (at the hottest time of the day, of course) and I will admit I was panicky. The girls and I ended up downstairs reading in our bedroom (which was 6 degrees cooler than the living room) before it was time to make dinner. Luckily, we had food in the freezer that Aaron could grill!

I see my OB on Friday morning for my 32 week check-up, so I’ll report anything new in next week’s post!

And here are my weekly updates with Eloise and Daphne!

Happy 32 weeks!
