project baby #3 {week 35}

{week 35} We are just one month out folks! Eeep.

This week feels really similar to my 35th week with Daphne (see link below): Baby Lower is in and out of my  lungs and ribs, I’m much slower these days, I have lots of Braxton-Hicks contractions, and my leg (mostly my right one) feels like it’s being pulled out of it’s socket. BUT I am really trying to enjoy these last weeks. I really do love being pregnant and this is our last baby!

I have started really packing things for the hospital as well. The baby’s stuff (swaddle blankets, hats, a bow – just in case!, a couple of outfits and a gown), nursing pads, charging cords, and snacks. I also threw in some thick socks, a pair of leggings and a nursing tank, and eventually a cardigan, a button-up  nightie and this Dwell + Slumber dress will head into the bag as well. I know our hospital stay will be pretty short this time (it has been in the past too, but with COVID hospitals are shortening stays) so I am really trying not to over-pack and over-think what we’ll actually need.

Mostly, I am just pretty tired during the day. My nighttime sleep (knock on wood) is actually pretty good, other than having to get up and pee if I am awakened at all. The girls are keeping me active during the mornings and by (Daphne’s) nap time and (Eloise’s) quiet time in the afternoon, I am usually ready for a nap. Since it’s been hot this past week (I think we set records this past weekend!) so I’ve been reading and snoozing in our cool-ish bedroom in the afternoons.

We’ve got just two more weeks of summer left and then (remote) school starts!

And here is my same weekly update with Eloise and Daphne.

Happy 35 weeks!

M
