project baby #3 {week 23}

{week 23} Honestly, this felt like a loooong week!

Backing up a bit. The end of last week was good, I was feeling good with just a little bit of back pain, but nothing too terrible. Then Aaron headed out on Saturday for a round of (socially distant) golf down in Tacoma, and within 2 hours of him leaving, I was feeling awful. I was SO sick. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, but once every two or three weeks, I just have a sick day? Anyways, the girls played in the late morning together and I managed to get lunch on the table for them. After eating lunch I did feel better for a hot minute, but ended up taking a nap during Daphne’s naptime (and Eloise’s quiet play time). The girls woke me up after Daph was up from her nap, and I was feeling terrible. A headache that was making me nauseous which is pretty much how my morning sickness has presented this time around. The girls watched a movie with me on the couch, but by dinnertime, I just couldn’t even function. Aaron was running late and still over an hour’s drive away! Luckily, sweet Eloise offered to make dinner – PB&J sandwiches and cereal. I managed to wait until Aaron was closer to home to take my evening medication which I hoped would make me feel better (it did!) but also is a sleeping aid. He put the girls and me to bed as soon as he walked in the door.

Oof, it was the roughest day. And I am always hesitant on the day following a sick day in case my nausea persists. Luckily, it didn’t last thru the weekend and we were able to celebrate Aaron’s birthday on Sunday!

I am feeling so. much. better this week. Tired, but almost normal? My belly is definitely getting bigger though and I can feel the difference when I am trying to get up from sitting! Even things like washing my face at the sink or unloading our (top load) washer requires me to turn slightly sideways or my arms aren’t long enough. Ha!

And here are my weekly updates from Eloise and Daphne. Reading about another person touching my belly during my pregnancy with Eloise is so strange, given the current pandemic and social distancing situation! And seeing Eloise in Daphne’s update is so sweet. I often forget how little she was when I was pregnant with Daph. I need to be sure to get pictures of this baby bump and the girls too.

Happy 23 Weeks!

M
