{If you missed the big announcement, see here!}
This time around pregnancy has been MUCH harder. Not only do I have two kids to take care of, but the morning sickness has been ROUGH. So rough, you guys. I couldn’t even sit or stand without feeling sick for the first three weeks and napped on the couch most of the day. Luckily, I was able to have my first visit with the midwife during my eighth week and she was able to give me a recommendation for the (intense) nausea. I’ve been on a regiment of B6 (magnesium) three times per day and Unisom – a sleep aid – just half a tab in the evening* since then and it has helped immensely. I still have nausea, but nothing like I did before. I can actually function now!

Happy (mid to almost late) March! I know it’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post. The year started off a little crazy and then just got every crazier with the Covid-19 quarantining…
And, if you missed it over on Instagram and Facebook, we have officially announced the arrival of Baby Lower who is due at the end of September!

Hello + Happy February! I can’t believe how l o n g January felt. Honestly. And we had rain and then snow and then non-stop rain (the wettest January in 10 years!) and the aftermath of the holidays. I can’t believe I haven’t blogged all month long. My apologies. And, the blog got an update! (We transitioned the back-end of the site, but updated it’s design as well.) Here’s some of our weekend!
{It’s been so muddy and soggy that backing our car in and out of the driveway is making so much mud on the sidewalk (I have to drive on the grass a bit if there are cars parked too close). So Aaron and Daph headed out during a slightly dry spell to lay down some stone pavers. Here is Daph giving me a wave! Her little baseball hat is the best. Just like her Papa.}

Happy New Year (& new decade)! Before we get into 2020, let’s take a look back at 2019.
{Side note: I usually post this on New Year’s Day, but we Aaron is working on migrating the blog (it’s 1100 posts!) over the next day or so.}
Merry Christmas {2019}
{This year’s Christmas card via Minted (this is our card) // photos by Ashley Vos Photography}
The girls are just so excited for Christmas this year and it has been so fun celebrating the merry season with them. Kids really do make the holiday season WAY more magical!
Merry Christmas to all!

family pictures {2019}
Our family Christmas cards were sent out at the first of the month (woot!) but I also wanted to share the remainder of the photos from this year’s family photo shoot. Christmas cards and family photos are my very FAVORITE thing about the holidays. We send out many, many Christmas cards every year and receive almost as many, and it brings me SO much joy!
We had the wonderful and lovely Ashley Vos behind the camera again this year, and if you are local to Seattle, I cannot recommend her enough! The location was Volunteer Park in the Capital Hill neighborhood. It was SO cold but boy was it beautiful with all of the leaves! {Also, the girls were a little shy/grumpy/not interested when we first started, but warmed up at the end! I was a little worried about the pictures turning out, but Ashley is magic!}
And here’s a picture overload of the Lower family!
my weekend in pictures.
{On Friday Eloise’s school had a Winter Bazaar where there were students selling crafts and holiday desserts. Plus the band from the middle school was there to play some Christmas tunes. Eloise attended with her class and fifth grade buddies, but the three of us went back right after school to join in the festivities.} Continue reading “my weekend in pictures.”
