we had a busy weekend & definitely enjoyed the spring weather – both sun & rain! not a lot to report, but prepping the to-do list for my parents who will be visiting from idaho next weekend. how was your weekend?

{friday afternoon i got a much-needed manicure. it was lovely!}

{friday night dinner date at rain city burgers followed by a movie at home. perfect night.}

{saturday morning family walk in the sunshine! we also rescued some amazing vintage glass door knobs from a remodel down the street – very exciting!}

{there was some ceiling patching being done this weekend. pretty soon you will never know there were three dining room pendants.}

{i attended a bridesmaids’ afternoon tea at the queen mary tea room in honor of the bride-to-be mary alice.}

{we switched up the usual movie after sunday night dinner to go to target. it was my grandmother’s first trip. ever. she kept saying “they sell everything here!” it was awesome.}

we had a fun weekend & had some good down time as well as being able to catch up with some old friends. though we are still missing the lost hour from springing forward, we are definitely looking forward to the spring! how was your weekend?

{my friend mary & i tried our hand at baking french macarons on saturday night. they were a success!}

{started a little spring cleaning with the closets this weekend.}

{remember our budding bulbs from two weeks ago here? well these are they! yay for spring bulbs in early march.}

{this little gal spent the entire day sunning herself in the front window. it was a gorgeous crisp, sunny day in the emerald city!}

{dinner & a movie with my grandmother. we finally saw argo & though i was worried it wouldn’t live up to the hype, it was so, so good!}

we had a good but busy weekend. we caught up with some old friends & got a few new projects planned for the house. it was wonderful to have a sunny sunday to enjoy which i started with some much-needed vinyasa flow yoga (from which i will be very sore tomorrow!) & ended in the company of my wonderful husband & grandmother – can’t beat that! how was your weekend?

my mom is visiting this weekend so there wasn’t much in the way of house projects done, but we did have a lot of fun! even without a visitor in town the weekends seem so jam-packed. by the time i get to everything i have been waiting to do on the weekends, it is sunday night, late, & i am so exhausted. i guess that is the fun part, right? how was your weekend?

{our house is stocked with fresh blooms in celebration of my birthday & valentine’s day. aaron was so sweet to send me flowers to the office & to the house on thursday!}

{sadie got a bath this weekend & has decided that the hair dryer is pretty neat when it is so cold outside!}

we had a wonderful weekend filled with continued birthday celebrations! thank you for all the sweet birthday wishes via various social media this week – i am feeling very loved. how was your weekend?

we had a good weekend, but boy it went so fast! we got a few things done around the house, got to hang out with some old friends over dinner, & enjoyed some much needed sunshine {not much but a bit!} – i call that a weekend well spent. how was your weekend?

{mini vegan, gluten-free pizzas. not too shabby. february 1 marked the start of gluten-free month. cheers to diet restrictions & eating more veggies!}

{despite the 49ers not winning the superbowl, i did enjoy beyonce’s half-time show & the brief reunion of destiny’s child!}

we had a relaxing weekend getting a few projects done around the house, but not getting out much due to the return of the rain. boo. we are definitely wishing for spring, though it will be weeks before we will get “spring” weather. how was your weekend?

{one thing we want to do in the new year – can we still call it that 20 days in? – is to support our local farmer’s markets. we spent some of our sunday stocking up on local, in-season vegetables & fresh farm eggs.}

{i remixed my faux fur vest this weekend – once for work & once for brunch – because it is the warmest thing in my wardrobe & we are barely getting above freezing here in seattle.}

we had a really low-key weekend which was a nice change. there were a few house projects completed & worked on, but for the most part we enjoyed our time off. while it makes for a pretty boring weekend blog post, it was nice to do nothing for a change. how was your weekend?
