Hooray! Finally a Santa picture where someone isn’t sad or sulking. Ha! This year, obviously, Eloise really warmed up to Santa and was really sweet about meeting him. She was eager to show him her newly lost tooth (did I mention that she lost it a few weeks ago?) and told him exactly what she wanted for Christmas: a lollipop stuffie. What?!
[Side note: I sort of had a head’s up about this lollipop stuffie thing because Eloise had casually mentioned in a few weeks ago. I looked locally for a lollipop stuffie, but it doesn’t exist! But our saving grace is that Eloise also mentioned, at least to me, that she wanted Santa to surprise her. So that is definitely happening! And in lieu of the lollipop stuffie, Santa is going to give her an apology note (perhaps) and a basket full of real lollipops!]
Daphne was much more hesitant about Santa, at least up close. While we were waiting in line, she was so, so interested in seeing Santa with the other kids (there is a huge picture window to see Santa while you are waiting) and kept climbing up to try to get a glimpse. But she also decided right away that she didn’t want to sit on his lap and wanted to sit on a rocking horse instead. She did though, surprisingly, tell Santa that she wanted a blue truck when he asked her what she wanted.
The waiting line was CRAZY this year as we couldn’t find a Friday to head down to Nordstrom with the girls in December. Plus, Eloise was very hesitant to miss any school! So my friend and I thought we would chance the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving – which was either going to be brilliant or a disaster! The mamas met downtown an hour before the line opened up and enjoyed a (hot) coffee, and the papas brought the kids down once we were about 45 minutes from Santa. It was A LOT of waiting, not going to lie. Maybe the last time we see this Santa??
Did you visit Santa this year?

Sensational pictures and fun post of happy times. Wish I knew where to find a lollipop stuffie but think you have a great alternative.
