{week 24} Phew, week 24? I feel like I grew so much this week! And it feels like a big week too; only 16 weeks until my due date. How is that possible?

I have really started feeling like a pregnant lady since I have to pee every time I stand up, even if I just went! I feel like this baby is still pretty low, so likely right on my bladder. But, unless I am woken up in the middle of the night, I can still make it all night without having to get up to pee! That is a win in my book.

This week is also the first time I have felt Baby Foot’s kicks up towards my belly button. All of the other movements I have been feeling are down low by my hips. I feel like this is a sign that baby is growing out and up! My midwife hasn’t worried about taking my belly measurement yet (since Baby Foot was measuring at 45% for weight at our 20 week ultrasound) but I suspect that I would be measuring slightly behind. I was always a week or so behind with Eloise and then caught up towards the end of my third trimester.

Similarly to last time around, I am starting to feel like I fill up faster when I eat. Even though I still have a pretty good appetite, I have to stop short since there isn’t any more room! It’s a bit of a bummer though because within a couple hours of eating a full meal I am starving… I guess snacking it is!

As I mentioned in our weekend update, we took some family Christmas card pictures, and since I didn’t want to have two separate professional photoshoots so close together, I opted to also do a few maternity shots yesterday. I am not as big as I expected to be when I booked our shoot (and definitely not as big as I was with my maternity shoot last time around) but it was nice to capture this pregnancy outside of just the weekly photos, and also include Eloise in those.

And here is my 24 week bump update with Eloise!

Happy 24 weeks!

M
