{week 22} Wait, 22 weeks? That sounds so official. Like 5 months official. Whoa!

This week I am finally feeling pregnant. At least from the outside. Before this week I have definitely felt pregnant on the inside, but felt a little like a fraud on the outside since I haven’t really been showing. And with cooler weather and more layers, it’s easier to hide a small bump. But Baby Foot is making his/herself known these days and I can feel it in the way my clothes fit. I have been wearing vests a lot recently (I think vests are the trick for fall and winter pregnancies so send me any ones you love!) and I definitely can’t zip them up.

Each evening once Eloise is in bed and the kitchen is cleaned up, I can feel Baby Foot start moving around. Lots of kicks and movement that you can feel from the outside which is always fun for Aaron. And then again as I lay down for bedtime, Baby Foot is always having a little dance party! I remember this with Eloise, as soon as I was ready to stop and rest, baby was ready to move, move, move.

I don’t feel like I have crazy energy levels these days but can get thru the day without feeling like I need a nap. However, mornings are still really slow for me. I have been trying to set my alarm early to be able to get up and moving and get some things done before Eloise wakes up between 7:30 and 8 am, but it just isn’t happening. I think it’s partly because I am still going to bed pretty late (and I am one that needs 8 or 9 solid hours!) and because I have been pretty busy at night working on stuff for the Shop. As the mornings stay darker I know it will be so hard to try to get up earlier, but I am still going to keep trying! And soon enough, I am going to be sleeping at all times of the day with a newborn, right? (Or not because I also have a toddler?)

And here is my week 22 update with Eloise if you are curious!

Happy 22 weeks!

M
